A giant slip 'n' slide is coming to Shanghai this summer
A giant water slide is coming to Shanghai this summer as Slide the City launches on the banks of the Huangpu in July. Started in the US in 2014, Slide the City have been setting up giant slip 'n' slides in locations all over the world for the past couple of years, and now they're coming to Mainland China for the first time.
Promising a slide the 'length of a 60-storey building', Slide the City Shanghai will be running from July 15-August 7 at Houtan, one of the park areas on the former Expo site in Pudong.
It'll be open from 10am-10pm every day and organisers have said that the slide will be joined by a range of food and drink stalls, DJ performances and appearances from various celebrities.
Right now, tickets are only available in Chinese through 周末去哪儿's WeChat account, but we'll have passes available through Time Out Tickets very soon - plus you can keep an eye on our WeChat and website for details of a special VIP day on the slide with free entry courtesy of Time Out.
For now, here's a pop-infused promo video for it all:
